Rules for CfxMods Purchases

These rules apply when you complete checkout on CfxMods. They explain the permission attached to a resource, the way files and updates are supplied, the limited situations reviewed for a refund, and the process for resolving a dispute.

The license supplied with an order

Permission to run the resource

For each purchased resource, you receive a non-exclusive permission that you cannot transfer to somebody else. You may install and operate it on FiveM servers that you own or manage. You may change only the files the release provides as editable. Selling, sublicensing, publishing, sharing or otherwise distributing any portion is prohibited, including escrow-protected code, configuration, documentation and media.

Later versions

Your completed order continues to provide access to updates while the creator releases them for that product. This does not guarantee development or support for a minimum period. When a resource is retired, existing buyers keep access to the final version made available through their order.

Your delivery email

Use an email address you control at checkout because the confirmation and file access are connected to it. If you entered the address incorrectly, send support enough transaction evidence to locate and verify the purchase.

Copyright and ownership

CfxMods or the creator named on the listing retains all intellectual-property rights in the resource and its code, documentation, images, artwork and demonstrations. Payment grants only the usage license described here; it does not transfer ownership or copyright.

When a digital order is final

Completed digital-resource sales are normally final. Files are made available electronically after payment, so an order is not refundable merely because the buyer changes their mind once delivery access has been issued. By choosing immediate supply at checkout, you ask performance to begin straight away and acknowledge the loss of any withdrawal right that applicable law allows you to waive for immediately delivered digital content, including under Directive 2011/83/EU.

Problems we will assess individually

Write to CfxMods promptly when:

  • one order produced a duplicate charge;
  • the files were never made available and support cannot restore access within a reasonable time; or
  • the resource fails its advertised primary function on a framework version the listing expressly supports, and no practical correction can be supplied.

Use the CfxMods contact form, include the order number and describe the fault clearly. Our target is an initial response within one business day.

Chargebacks and processor disputes

Allow support to investigate the order before opening a payment dispute. If a chargeback is submitted, CfxMods may send the processor the applicable terms, order record, delivery events and relevant support history. Download access associated with a payment that is successfully reversed may be removed.

Allowed and forbidden uses

You may use the resource on FiveM servers under your control, subject to any additional product-specific license displayed on its listing. You may not:

  • place the resource on a leak site, public repository, file-sharing service or unapproved resale channel;
  • circumvent FiveM Asset Escrow, reverse protected code or defeat another technical safeguard;
  • claim that you created the work or delete attribution required by its license; or
  • use it to facilitate harassment, deception or activity contrary to the applicable Cfx.re rules.

A material breach can result in termination of the license and withdrawal of file access. Termination caused by misuse does not create an entitlement to repayment.

Warranty exclusions and liability cap

Except where the law does not permit an exclusion, resources are provided “as is” and “as available”. CfxMods disclaims express and implied warranties, including merchantability, suitability for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Total liability arising from the storefront or a resource will not exceed the amount paid for the relevant order in the 12 months preceding the claim.

To the maximum lawful extent, CfxMods is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive harm. This includes lost income, unavailable server time, reduced player activity and lost information, even if that kind of loss could reasonably have been anticipated.

Applicable law and dispute process

Your contracting party

The operator of CfxMods is a company incorporated in Delaware, United States. Your purchase contract is formed with that company.

Governing rules

The laws of Delaware govern these terms, store use and purchase-related claims, whether contractual or otherwise, without giving effect to conflict-of-law principles. The Convention on the International Sale of Goods (CISG) is expressly excluded.

Venue for proceedings

Proceedings connected with the storefront, an order or these rules must be filed in a Delaware state or federal court. Both parties submit to those courts and give up an objection based on the inconvenience of that venue.

Contact before filing

Before beginning a formal claim, send the order number through the support page. CfxMods will try to resolve a delivery or billing problem within 30 days after receiving that message.

Rights that cannot be waived

If mandatory consumer law in the buyer's country of residence provides a protection that an agreement cannot remove, nothing in this section limits that protection.

Either side may ask a court with proper authority for equitable or injunctive relief when it is needed to protect intellectual property.

Future revisions

CfxMods may revise these rules when the storefront, payment process or legal requirements change. The revision date above identifies the current version. Continued use after new wording takes effect constitutes acceptance of that version.
